Privacy policies are an important consideration for any industry that deals with personal information. To that end, there are several key points that both consumers and pub owners should keep in mind when it comes to privacy policies.
At PartyPeople, we value the privacy of our customers and pubs. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we collect from our customers and pubs and how we use that information.
Collection of Personal Information
Pubs should only collect personal information that is necessary for
the operation of their business. This includes information such as
name, email address, phone number, and date of birth. They should
also clearly state why this information is being collected and how
it will be used. For example, a pub might collect a customer's name
and phone number from reserving a table or their email address to
send promotional offers.
Use of Personal Information
We use personal information to provide our services, improve our
services, and communicate with our customers and pubs. This may
include providing information about our services, processing
payments, and responding to inquiries. We may also use personal
information for analytical purposes, such as evaluating the usage of
our services and improving the user experience.
Consent
Consent is an essential component of any privacy policy. Pubs should
only ask customers to provide personal information with their
explicit consent. This means that they must be informed of the
purpose of the collection and how it will be used. Consent should be
obtained unambiguously, such as through a checkbox or signature.
Security Measures
Pubs must take reasonable steps to protect the personal information
of their customers. This includes measures such as encryption,
password protection, and restricted access. For example, a pub might
encrypt customer data when stored on its servers and only allow
authorized personnel to access it.
Data Breach Notification
If a data breach occurs, pubs must notify their customers
immediately. This includes informing them of what information was
breached and the steps the pub takes to remedy the situation. The
notification should be clear and concise and provide customers with
information on protecting themselves from identity theft or other
harm.
Sharing of Personal Information
Pubs should only share personal information with third parties when
it is necessary to operate their business. This includes sharing
information with payment processors or delivery companies. Before
sharing personal information, pubs should ensure that the third
party has adequate security measures to protect it.
Marketing Communications
Pubs must obtain consent before sending marketing communications to
their customers. Customers should also be allowed to opt out of
these communications. For example, a pub might send a promotional
email to customers who have opted-in to receive marketing
communications and provide an unsubscribe link in the email footer.
Data Retention
Pubs should only retain personal information for as long as it is
necessary to operate their business. Once the information is no
longer needed, it should be securely destroyed. Pubs should have a
clear policy for data retention and should regularly review and
update it as necessary.
Age Restrictions & Drugs
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 18. We
do not knowingly collect personal information from children under
18. Pubs must not entertain services for children and teens. Below
18 consumers are strictly not allowed in the pubs. Moreover,
PartyPeople doesn’t promote the consumption of drugs and doesn’t
tolerate such cases! Pubs must have a look at this carefully without
any miss!
Geolocation Data
If pubs collect geolocation data from customers, they must obtain
explicit consent. Geolocation data is information that identifies
the physical location of a device, such as a mobile phone. Pubs
should communicate why this information is being collected and how
it will be used.
Information from Pubs
We collect information from pubs to evaluate their services and rank
them based on our parameters. We do not share this information with
customers or third parties. The information we collect may include
the location, contact information, and services the pub provides.
Reviews and Ratings
We collect reviews and ratings from customers to evaluate the
services of pubs. We may share this information with pubs to help
them improve their services. We do not share personal information
about the customer who provided the review or rating.
Cookies
We use cookies to improve our services and personalize the customer
experience. Cookies are small text files stored on users' devices
when they visit our app. We use cookies to remember user preferences
and settings, analyze user behaviour, and measure the effectiveness
of our marketing campaigns. Customers can choose to disable cookies,
which may affect our services' functionality.
Third-Party Services
Pubs should ensure that any third-party services they use, such as
payment processors or delivery companies, have adequate security
measures to protect personal information. Pubs should also clearly
communicate how these services will use personal information and
whether they will share it with other third parties.
Employee Training:
Pubs must ensure that their employees are trained on handling
personal information per the privacy policy. This includes data
security, data breach response, and customer privacy rights
training. Moreover, they should have a streamlined system so
consumers can have a smooth, hassle-free experience!
Complaints
Pubs must have a process for handling customer complaints about
their service. This includes providing a point of contact for
customers to submit complaints and responding to them promptly and
effectively so the consumers can be at ease!
Transparency
Pubs must be transparent about how they use personal information and
how it is being protected. This includes communicating their privacy
policy, providing access to personal information upon request, and
being open about any data breaches or other incidents that might
affect customers.
Legal Compliance
Pubs must comply with relevant privacy laws and regulations in
India. We don’t work with any Pubs with issues with their Legal
Compliance. If there are any issues with the paperwork, they don't
follow the guidelines, or they think of doing so soon, we will
cancel our association with them!
Accountability
Finally, pubs must be accountable for their privacy practices. This
includes regularly reviewing and updating their privacy policy,
responding to customer complaints, and taking appropriate action in
the event of a data breach or other incident that might affect
customer privacy.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect
changes in our practices or legal requirements. Customers and pubs
will be notified of any material changes to this policy. And Pubs
must have a detailed eye on the new update whenever done!
Our Privacy Policy is designed to protect the personal information of our customers and pubs while providing a positive user experience. We take our responsibilities seriously and have established policies and procedures to ensure that personal information is collected, used, and shared in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Customers and pubs can trust PartyPeople to handle their personal information with care and respect.
